Job summary

Electric Power Systems (EPS) is hiring a Field Technician II in Seattle, WA. This role conducts testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increasing independence and safety focus.

You will troubleshoot, assist commissioning, and document activities while working with engineers and senior technicians. Qualifications include a degree in electrical/electronic technology or military experience, plus NETA II certification.

Qualifications

• Must be able to relocate to Boise, ID.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Criminal background check required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willing to work overtime and travel out of town as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety policies and PPE requirements.
• Perform testing and inspection of substation equipment with limited supervision.
• Troubleshoot using schematics and drawings; assist with commissioning.
• Document testing, maintenance, and repair per project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to execute field activities.
• Maintain tools and work areas to standards and readiness.
