UES, a leading geotechnical engineering and environmental firm, seeks a Field Technician II to support testing and inspection across soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates. Qualifications

• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in construction, engineering, geology, or related field is preferred.
• 3+ years of field-based experience in materials testing, construction inspection, geotechnical fieldwork, or related industry.
• OSHA safety compliance and adherence to safety policies; valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing certification preferred or ability to obtain within a specified time period.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials to meet project specs.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories while maintaining sample integrity.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment according to manufacturer and company guidelines.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation of test results for project managers.
• Communicate site conditions and status updates to dispatch and supervisors; mentor junior technicians as needed.
• Follow OSHA and client safety protocols; work early mornings, weekends, or overnight as required.
• Travel to job sites within the designated region; operate company vehicle and manage travel schedules.
