Job summary

UES is seeking a Field Technician II to perform advanced field and laboratory testing, inspections, and data collection on construction materials. The role requires independent work in dynamic outdoor settings and adherence to safety protocols.

You will maintain equipment, prepare detailed test reports, and coordinate with project managers. The position may involve travel and mentoring junior technicians, with a strong emphasis on quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• 3+ years in materials testing, construction inspection, geotechnical fieldwork, or related.
• Certifications such as ACI Level 1 preferred or obtainable.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials.
• Collect, label, and transport samples to laboratories with proper documentation.
• Maintain testing equipment per manufacturer guidelines and company policies.
• Complete detailed reports and communicate updates to project teams.
• Mentor junior technicians and ensure safety and quality compliance.
