Electric Power Systems is a NETA-accredited independent electrical testing and engineering organization specializing in electrical acceptance testing, commissioning, and maintenance for clients across Data Centers, Utility, Generation, Renewables, Transit, Industrial and Commercial Facilities throughout North America.

The Field Technician II performs testing, inspection, and maintenance of substation electrical equipment with increased independence.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screen for safety-sensitive role.
• Criminal background check required.
• Overtime and travel to job sites may be required.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety policies and PPE use in substation environments.
• Participate in safety trainings, meetings, and briefings.
• Support safety culture through hazard reporting and lessons learned.
• Test high, medium, and low voltage equipment with supervision.
• Inspect and maintain circuit breakers, transformers, and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot issues using schematics and manuals; escalate as needed.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance; assist commissioning.
• Document testing and maintenance per project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers and senior technicians to complete field activities.
