Job summary

Maas Energy Works is seeking an experienced Operations Field Technician II to maintain and optimize the performance of dairy digester systems across multiple project sites in Idaho. The role requires hands-on mechanical work with diesel engine systems, field-based troubleshooting, and the ability to mentor newer technicians.

Based in Burley, ID, you will handle routine maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and ensure safe operation of biogas systems, pumps, motors, and control equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanical experience with diesel or natural gas engines.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of engine diagnostics and field repair.
• Familiarity with PLC-based systems, electrical troubleshooting, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience working independently in field-based environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and preventative maintenance at operational facilities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues independently.
• Maintain and repair diesel and natural gas engines, biogas pipelines, 3-phase motors, pumps, and PLCs.
• Monitor equipment performance metrics and document service records.
• Assist in training or guiding Field Technician I staff when needed.
