Job summary

Network Connex in Manassas, VA is seeking a Technician 2 responsible for installation services across head ends, hubs, and central offices, supporting the MSO, cable, telephone, data center and communications industry. You will work with a team to install equipment and cabling, contributing to project requirements.

The role requires hands-on experience with coaxial, fiber, and UTP cabling, testing of video/RF systems, and knowledge of DC power.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of cable TV systems including head-ends and related equipment (CMTS, CASA, DCM).
Hands-on experience with infrastructure setup and installation processes.
Proficient with coaxial, fiber and UTP cabling and proper installation techniques.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members to complete cabling installation activities.
Assist in equipment installation and ensure proper setup.
Support infrastructure installation tasks as part of project requirements.
Perform testing of video, RF, coax, fiber, and UTP systems to ensure functionality.
Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain compliance with standards and specifications.
