Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician I for construction materials testing. This role involves hands-on field and lab work, testing soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates to ensure quality and safety across transportation and building projects.

You will collect samples, document results, and collaborate with engineers and technicians, gaining practical experience and pursuing certifications while advancing in the field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related coursework in construction or geology is a plus.
• ACI Level 1 Concrete Testing certification or ability to obtain within a defined time period.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials to verify compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Properly collect, label, and transport samples from job sites to laboratories for testing and analysis.
• Ensure testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements, and policies.
• Prepare detailed reports, logs, and documentation of test results with accuracy and timeliness.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment and ensure PPE and safety protocols are followed.
