Job summary

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking an Entry Level Field Technician I in Cleveland, OH to support testing and inspection services in the A/E/C industry. Roles include operating testing equipment, observing site activities, and documenting results under supervision.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and be willing to travel up to 25% with the ability to lift 30–50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, (hearing) and to make the discriminations in sound.
• Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
• Ability to climb occasionally, and work at various heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (e.g., soil, concrete) and provide assessment of data through reporting.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Use specific methods and perform tasks to make detailed observations of site activities.
