Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction is seeking a Field Technician I in Canton, OH to perform testing and site observations under supervision. Travel up to 25% and ability to work outdoors in varying weather are required. A valid driver’s license and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds are essential for field duties.

The role supports soil and concrete testing with documentation and adherence to drawings and specs, contributing to quality assurance across projects.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
• Ability to lift, move, push and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; Occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Outdoor work in adverse weather conditions, including heat and cold.
• Ability to kneel, squat, climb occasionally and work at various heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete or other) and report results.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Make detailed observations of site activities and provide interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
