Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction is seeking a Field Technician I to join their team in Lima, OH. This position involves operating testing equipment, conducting assessments, and maintaining documentation of test results in the A/E/C industry. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a High School diploma or equivalent, along with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• 6 months of construction-related experience preferred.
• ACI Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete, etc.).
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
• Make detailed observations of site activities.

Skills

Ability to operate testing equipment

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Strong communication skills

Ability to lift and move 30 to 50 pounds

Ability to work outdoors in various conditions

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
