Job summary

AMH is seeking a Field Technician Maintenance in Charleston, SC to perform repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and routine maintenance at AMH properties, ensuring homes remain safe and functional.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED (Associate degree or technical training a plus) with 2+ years of residential maintenance experience or 5 years if lacking formal education. EPA/HVAC certification and Microsoft Office proficiency are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; Associate degree or technical training a plus.
• Minimum two years of Residential/Property Maintenance experience required, or five years with no degree.
• EPA Certification or HVAC Type II Certification required where applicable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic maths is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting for water heaters, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues.
• Perform home repairs including carpentry, drywall, roofing, and fencing.
• Ensure HVAC systems are operational and perform tune-ups.
• Maintain all equipment in clean, orderly, and functional condition and update work orders.
• Regularly coordinate with vendors and tenants.
