Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent, LP is seeking a Field Technician Maintenance to perform repairs, troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance at AMH properties, ensuring safe, functional homes.

The role requires experience with water heaters, HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, and safety practices; must have a valid driver's license and EPA/HVAC certification where required. The work includes lifting up to 75 pounds and using hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED required or some college/technical training preferred.
• Minimum two years in residential/property maintenance or five years in lieu of education.
• Valid driver’s license required and ability to lift heavy loads.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting for water heater, plumbing, garage door, irrigation, and electrical issues.
• Perform home repairs including carpentry, drywall, roofing, and fencing tasks.
• Ensure HVAC systems are operational and conduct tune-ups.
• Maintain all equipment in a clean, safe, functional condition.
• Update and complete mobile work orders within required timeframe.
• Interact regularly with vendors and tenants.
