Job summary

OPAL Fuels is seeking a Wellfield Technician to perform operation and maintenance (O&M) of the gas collection and control system (GCCS). The GCCS comprises multiple wells connected by piping, and proper operation is required to meet environmental regulations.

Most days will be spent in the field supporting on-site operations near Florence, NJ. You will conduct monthly field monitoring, liquid level checks, blower and pump tasks, and data interpretation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Ability to operate a pickup truck and ATV.
• Must possess effective organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and terrain.

Responsibilities

• Monthly wellfield monitoring.
• Liquid level measurements in Gas Extraction Wells.
• Pneumatic pump troubleshooting, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Conduct routine blower and flare operations.
• Monitor perimeter probes and interpret data from wellfield locations.
• Follow health and safety requirements and ensure staff compliance.
• On-call response to GCCS related malfunctions.
