Job summary

OPAL Fuels is hiring a Wellfield Technician to perform operation and maintenance of the gas collection and control system. The role involves field work, monitoring wells, and ensuring regulatory compliance, with on‑call responsibilities for GCCS issues.

Candidate must be 18+, capable of outdoor work ~90% of days, and able to operate a pickup and ATV. Training is provided for motivated entrants in the energy sector.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Motivated individuals with transferable skills will be trained.
• Ability to operate a pickup and ATV.

Responsibilities

• Monthly wellfield monitoring.
• Liquid level measurements in Gas Extraction Wells.
• Pneumatic pump troubleshooting, cleaning and maintenance.
• Conduct routine blower and flare operations.
• Monitor perimeter probes.
• Manage and interpret data from wellfield extraction locations.
• On‑site health and safety compliance for staff and sub-contractors.
• On‑call response to GCCS-related malfunctions.
