Job summary

Great Day Improvements, LLC is seeking a Field Technician to measure, install, and test products at customers' homes or businesses. You will travel to sites, perform repairs and routine maintenance, and provide clear usage instructions for products.

Ideal candidates have technical/mechanical skills, experience with basic hand tools, and physical fitness to lift heavy equipment. Administrative duties on-site are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in the industry.
• Previous experience servicing windows and doors.
• Valid Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to insurance company.
• Ability to work independently and as a team.
• Travel within radius of GDIs locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and provide accurate measurements of doors and windows.
• Provide timely and quality repairs of customers' products including screen installation, sash replacement, glass replacement, hardware replacement, and seal repairs.
• Provide accurate measurements of doors and windows.
• Coordinate required return visits; convey needed services, materials, and labor.
• Perform post-installation inspections.
• Anticipate obstacles that could impact customer expectations, job costs and/or code performance; recommend solutions.
• Promote the company's services.
• Maintain technical and mechanical skills.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scanning invoices, processing payments, and routing materials to job sites.

Education
