Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Field Technician to ensure work is completed per the Statement of Work and to perform quality control when needed. The role requires data collection, equipment maintenance, and safe operation across varied locations and weather conditions.

The ideal candidate will read project schematics, capture field data, and communicate clearly with site owners. Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to travel, work weekends, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in relevant applications.
• Basic math skills and ability to read project schematics.
• Ability to capture and upload field documentation with mobile devices.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal background check and drug/alcohol tests.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to work varied schedules, travel to sites, weekends, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Statement of Work is being followed.
• Perform Quality Control work as needed.
• Assist with job specific training, guidance, and direction.
• Be accountable for all REI equipment and keep it maintained.
• Collect required field data per the assigned scope of work.
• Communicate effectively with property owners when necessary.
• Decide on safe access to locations and inform Field Manager of inaccessibility.
• Safely measuring power poles and midspans, working around traffic.
• Adhere to all REI safety requirements at all times.
• Utilize project tools such as RTK, Hot Stick, iPad, MiFi, and vehicles.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
