Job summary

SOCOTEC, through AEG, seeks a Survey Technician to join the Survey Department and support fieldwork across diverse sites. You will operate survey equipment, record field data, and assist with basic analysis while collaborating with teammates in outdoor environments.

The role requires reading civil plans, maps and specifications, maintaining gear, and occasional long days with travel. OSHA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of relevant experience, preferably in surveying sector.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform fieldwork and operate survey equipment in varying locations.
• Read and interpret civil engineering plans, maps, and specifications.
• Record field notes and sketches in field books.
• Maintain, charge, and calibrate equipment.
• Download data and perform limited CADD work.
• Travel to job sites and stay out of town as required.
• Willing to work long days, evenings/weekends when required.
