Job summary

Hanley Energy in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Field Technician to visit customer sites, troubleshoot mechanical equipment in hyperscale data centers, and document activities.

You will collaborate with team members and external stakeholders to meet customer objectives, report findings, and serve as SME on equipment and controls. Travel up to 25% is required and a sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of industry experience with mechanical systems including heat exchangers, air handlers, pumps, fans, valves and controls instrumentation.
• Technical degrees/certifications in STEM, MEP or SCADA.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience commissioning HVAC, cooling, or critical infrastructure systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs and mechanical drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Familiarity with BMS and controls integration (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct Field Tests of Mechanical Equipment and Installation.
• Troubleshoot Critical Mechanical Equipment.
• Communicate with Customers and Outside Stakeholders.
• Act as the Subject Matter Expert.
