Job summary

Hanley Energy, LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, and commissioning of Critical Power Systems at customer sites in the Ashburn, Virginia region. The role requires travel across the IAD area, strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with site teams.

The ideal candidate has experience with industrial or switchgear environments, DC systems, and holds a full driving license.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Experience in industrial or switchgear manufacturing.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Familiarity with DC systems and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Travel regularly across the IAD area.
• Service, maintenance, and repair of Critical Power Systems – including ATS, PLCs, and shunt devices at customer sites.
• Coordinate and communicate with site teams to complete tasks.
• Test to ensure systems are functioning correctly.
• Read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Perform maintenance and provide customer support.
• Diagnose problems and contribute to solutions.
• Maintain all computerized documentation.
• Weekend emergency calls and late shifts may be required.
