Job summary

Hanley Energy is seeking a Field Controls Technician (New Construction) to join our Ashburn, VA team. You will install, test, and commission automated client systems to reduce energy costs and ensure 100% up-time for mission-critical data center infrastructure.

You will support new construction at customer sites, handling hands-on installation and troubleshooting up to full operation, working with IPCs, HMIs, PLCs, and networking in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Required: High School/GED.
• 2 years of experience in a technical field.
• Technical training from military training, trade school, university, or college and relevant working experience equivalent to a 2-year degree in STEM is a plus

Responsibilities

• System Installation, Checkout, Integration, Testing and Commissioning Support
• Ignition Training
• Knowledge of ProCore
• Programing IPCs, HMIs, PLCs, Managed Switches, PQM’s etc.
• Expand and develop system integration experience.
• Provide feedback to the Engineering team about technical documentation, diagrams, sequences of operation, and operating procedures.
• Utilize time management, teamwork, communication skills, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Train other team members as a part of an ongoing team development effort
