Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Field Technician I in Jefferson, LA to perform laboratory and field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials. The role requires travel within the local region, including New Orleans, and involves accurate data reporting and documentation.

The candidate should have two years of Construction Materials Testing experience, a valid driver’s license, and a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Two years of Construction Materials Testing experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Level 1.
• Nuclear Density Experience.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and perform laboratory and field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Evaluate and report test data accurately.
• Use drawings, specifications, plans, and diagrams to support testing and inspection activities.
• Follow established testing methods and procedures to observe site activities.
• Maintain detailed records of testing activities, observations, and data.
