Job summary

Intertek-PSI in Jefferson, LA is seeking a Field Technician I to join our Professional Service Industries team. You will perform soil, concrete, and other construction materials testing, using drawings and specs to support testing and inspection activities.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of construction materials testing experience, a valid driver's license, and certifications such as ACI Level 1; willingness to travel up to 50% and work off shifts.

Qualifications

• Two years of construction materials testing experience required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Level 1.
• Nuclear Density Experience.
• Must be able to work off shift and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and perform laboratory and field testing of soil, concrete, and other construction materials while accurately evaluating and reporting test data.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, plans, and diagrams to support testing and inspection activities and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of testing activities, observations, and data collected.
• Travel to local projects, specifically New Orleans, LA, as needed.
