Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Field Technician I for the Lima, OH area to perform testing and on-site observations under supervision. The role supports soil, concrete or other material testing, using drawings and specifications to guide activities and ensure accurate data collection.

Candidates should be able to travel up to 25%, lift 30–50 lbs frequently, work outdoors in varied weather, and pass a pre-employment screening. Benefits include health, 401(k), PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Requires ability to lift/move 30–50 lbs frequently; >50 lbs with assistance.
• Able to work outdoors in hot/cold weather and climb occasionally.
• Must be able to receive information verbally and read diagrams/drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct testing (soil, concrete or other) and report data.
• Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams in field tasks.
• Observe site activities and provide limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
