Job summary

Intertek seeks an Entry-Level Field Technician for Construction Materials Testing in Orlando, Florida. The role includes performing field inspections, soil and concrete testing, and documenting results to ensure conformance with plans. Training is provided; a valid driver’s license is required, and overtime may be necessary.

Compensation and benefits support career growth within the A/E/C industry. Applicants with a High School Diploma or GED are preferred; prior testing experience is welcome

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in field/construction materials testing or inspections preferred.
No experience required – in-house training offered.
ACI/ICC/FDOT certifications are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs field inspections and materials testing per plans and specs.
Operates testing equipment and analyzes data from tests.
Works from drawings, specifications, and diagrams.
Maintains detailed test data and reports.
Uses a calculator to compute test results.
Communicates with clients and project teams effectively.
Adheres to safety practices and policies on site.
