Intertek is seeking an entry-level Field Technician to join the Building & Construction team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This hands-on, outdoor role tests materials like concrete and soil on active construction sites with potential for overtime and growth.

You will receive paid training and certifications (ACI, ICC, DOT) and a clear career path into senior tech, project management, or engineering support roles.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of construction materials testing experience is required.
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) are required.
• The ability to read and understand work plans is required.
• Basic math, calculator, and computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing on soil, concrete, and other construction materials.
• Observe site activities and document results.
• Work with construction plans, specs, and field data.
• Communicate with project teams and clients.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain accurate reports.
