Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete and perform slump, air, and temperature tests on active job sites. You will cast cylinders and verify density using a nuclear gauge, documenting results in real time for project records.

Entry-level roles include hands-on training and company-paid certifications, with opportunities to grow into senior field technician or project roles as you progress.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varying site conditions.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
