Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, run slump, air, temperature, and cylinder sets, and document results the same day. You will verify soil compaction with a nuclear density gauge and support field operations across sites.

No prior experience required; we train you and cover certifications. You will communicate results to superintendents and advance through a defined ladder from Field Technician to Senior Technician.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in Gulf Coast heat and winter sites.
• Willing to start with structured field training; certifications sponsored.
• ACI Field Grade I certification a plus; nuclear gauge certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938; prepare daily field reports.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
