Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample and test concrete and verify density and moisture at active sites. You will prepare daily reports, maintain equipment, and communicate results to superintendents on the spot.

The role is outdoor and physical, with training provided and certifications sponsored as you progress. Pay ranges from $18 to $28 per hour, with overtime when schedules run long.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Entry-level entry allowed; company provides training and cert sponsorship.
• Reliable, detail-first and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064 and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on site.
