Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks an entry-level Field Technician to sample and test concrete and perform density and moisture tests in the field. You’ll learn to document results, manage field equipment, and communicate findings to superintendents on site.

The role is outdoor and physical, with on-site training and opportunities to advance into supervisory or laboratory roles as you gain certifications.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in varying weather and on active sites.
• Willingness to learn; company sponsors certifications (ACI, NICET).
• Strong attention to detail and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations; maintain chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
