Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete and perform slump, air, temperature, and cylinder tests, documenting results on the same day. The role is outdoor, physically demanding, and you may travel to sites across the Gulf Coast region.

No prior experience required; we provide training and sponsor certifications including ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge safety. You will learn to read a jobsite, communicate with superintendents, and defend results

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in hot and variable weather.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• AC I Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certification are a plus – sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31; run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
