Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to be the front line of our concrete testing operations. You will sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and log results the same day at multiple sites along the Gulf Coast.

No prior experience required for entry level; we train and sponsor certifications including ACI Field Testing Grade I and NICET levels as you progress. This outdoor, hands-on role offers travel and steady work.

Qualifications

• No certifications required to start; structured field training provided.
• Company sponsors ACI Field Testing Grade I and NICET Levels as you progress.
• Travel to sites across Gulf Coast with per-diem arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
