Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample fresh concrete, perform slump, air, and temperature tests, and document results daily. No prior experience is required; we train and sponsor certifications as you progress.

You will work outdoors, at sites across the Gulf Coast region, using a nuclear gauge for density and quality control. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and clear communication with superintendents on the jobsite.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable outdoors in Gulf Coast heat and varying weather.
• Willing to pursue sponsored certifications (ACI Field Grade I, NICET).

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064, and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on site.
