Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking field technicians to sample and test fresh concrete on-site, run essential tests and cast cylinders under supervision. You will document every result the same day and learn to read a jobsite, communicating findings directly to superintendents.

No prior experience required—training is provided and we sponsor certifications such as ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge safety as you progress.

Qualifications

• You must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
• Reliable, detail-first, and coachable.
• ACI Field Grade I and nuclear gauge certifications are a plus; company sponsors both.

Responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete per ASTM C172, C143, C231, C1064 and C31.
• Run field density and moisture tests per ASTM D6938.
• Prepare clear daily field reports tied to placement locations.
• Maintain gauge standardization, cure boxes, and chain of custody.
• Communicate results to superintendents on the spot.
