Job summary

RCI Doors, Inc. is seeking a reliable Commercial Door & Dock Service Technician to diagnose, repair, install, and maintain commercial and industrial doors and dock equipment.

This remote field position is dispatched from home and covers customer sites in the Charlotte area, with a company service truck and tools provided. You will install, service, and repair a wide range of equipment, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and access control systems, and read blueprints to

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in the door, construction, or related industry.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Installing, servicing, and repairing commercial and industrial doors and dock equipment.
• Completing fire door and automatic door inspections per safety standards.
• Performing preventative maintenance to ensure proper operation.
• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and access control systems.
• Reading blueprints and following installation specifications.
• Working in commercial/industrial settings including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, retail spaces, and offices.
• Using mobile dispatch software to manage job details, service calls, and updates.
• Communicating clearly with customers and coworkers.
• Maintaining tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
• Following all safety procedures on every job.
