Job summary

Chattanooga Gas is seeking a Field Technician C-level candidate to join the on-call emergency team in the Chattanooga area. You will participate in activation/deactivation of natural gas, meter and regulator maintenance, and leak repairs while advancing through the Field Technician C progression.

The role requires safety awareness, documentation accuracy, and strong communications with customers and crew. Training will be provided to progress within the program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 6 months experience as General Tech or equivalent.
• Basic Meter activation qualified and certified.
• Advanced Crew qualified and certified.

Responsibilities

• Install, activate, deactivate, maintain and inspect gas meters and regulators.
• Respond to routine and emergency gas service requests and repair leaks.
• Perform tasks with gas mains and service lines and operate heavy equipment.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance during field operations.
