Chesapeake Utilities Corporation is seeking a Construction and Maintenance Technician III in Orrville/Athens, OH. The role leads crews in safe operation, installation, and maintenance of gas system infrastructure, handling emergencies and mentoring junior technicians. A CDL-B and HazMat readiness are required.

Primarily outdoor field work with weekend/on-call rotation. Strong knowledge of gas distribution, tape into budgeting and forecasting, and use of work order systems.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years of gas utility experience in a mechanical or industrial role.
• CDL, Class B required.
• Ability to obtain HazMat endorsement within 12 months.

Aufgaben

• Lead pipeline maintenance activities such as leak repairs and valve maintenance.
• Coordinate and lead operations in the absence of the Gas Operations Supervisor.
• Assist with maintaining adequate inventory levels.
• Support project estimate development, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Complete compliance requirements using work order management systems.
• Mentor and train field crew; foster a positive team environment.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment; ensure calibration and operation.
