Job summary

Yardi Systems is seeking a Field Technician to install, repair, and maintain gas, electric, and water sub-metering equipment. You will conduct property surveys, review reports, and ensure devices operate correctly on site, while maintaining OSHA compliance and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of technical experience, valid driver's license, and California license if applicable. Strong AMR knowledge and Microsoft 365 proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must take all required safety courses as identified by Yardi
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a flexible schedule
• Ability to travel overnight up to 100% for assigned territory
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Ability to work in high-noise environments
• Regular attendance and a regular work schedule are essential functions

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, diagnoses, and maintains gas, electric, and water sub-metering equipment ensuring quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations during installations and maintenance operations.
• Review installation and maintenance reports and documentation relevant to the project.
• Adhere to installation schedules set by project leader, client, and resources.
• Ensure all sub-metering devices operate properly prior to leaving site.
• Conduct property surveys for new sales opportunities and where installation was performed by others.
• Prepare survey documentation, recommendations, and scope of work.
• Assist in obtaining subcontractor quotes and permit information.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and submission of inventory movements.
• Maintain project files with all documentation.
• Comply with company policies and standardized processes.
• Train peers and subcontractors as directed by management.
• Participate in training activities and company meetings.

WhatYou’llDo:

• Installs, repairs, diagnoses, and provides maintenance ofgas, electric, and water sub-metering equipment ensuring compliance withquality control and quality assurance standards
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations during installationsand maintenance operations (e.g., use of hard-hats, steel toed boots while onnew construction sites)
• Reviews installation and maintenance reports anddocumentation relevant to the project, including scope of work, site plans,meter health audits, and work orders
• Adheres to installation schedules pre-determined and set bythe project leader, the client, and available resources
• Ensure all sub-metering devices are operating properly priorto leaving the job site
• Perform property surveys for new sales opportunities andwhere installation was performed by a company other than Yardi
• Prepares and submits survey documentation, recommendations,and scope of work as applicable for site surveys performed
• Assists in obtaining subcontractor quotes and permit feesinformation
• Maintains accurate inventory records and submitsdocumentation for inventory movements
• Maintains job files on each project with all the appropriatedocumentation
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, andstandardized processes
• Trains peers and subcontractors as directed by management
• Participates in scheduled training activities and companymeetings as directed
• Submits maintenance, installation, and expense reports,including Work Order Details (WOD), Completed Master Work Orders (MWO),Inventory Logs, Placed in Service Notices (PISN), Time Record Sheet (TRS), AMRSystem programing files

Who You Are:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Three (3) years of technical/trade experience
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Proven experience completing the following documentation,Building Installation Details (BID), Completed MWO, Inventory Logs, Placed inService Notices (PISN), Time Record Sheet (TRS), Automatic Meter Reading (AMR)System programing files
• Field Technicians assigned to California must have andmaintain a California Service Agent license
• Proficient in Microsoft 365
• Knowledge of metering and experience with various automaticmeter reading (AMR) technologies
• Startup and project management skills
• Independent problem solving and analysis skills
• Must take all required safety courses as identified byYardi
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, with a flexibleschedule
• Ability to work a heavy overnight travel schedule (up to100%) for assigned territory
• Ability to climb a ladder and comfortable working at heights
• Ability to climb flights of stairs multiples timesthroughout the workday
• Ability to work in an environment with high noise level
• Regular attendance and a regular work schedule are essentialfunctions of this job

Ideal to Have:

• Low voltage or previous meter installation/maintenanceexperience
• Previous site supervisor knowledge and experience
• Electrical and plumbing experience
