Job summary

Yardi Systems is seeking a Field Technician to install, repair, and maintain gas, electric, and water sub-metering equipment. You will conduct property surveys, review reports, and ensure devices operate correctly on site, while maintaining OSHA compliance and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3 years of technical experience, valid driver's license, and California license if applicable. Strong AMR knowledge and Microsoft 365 proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Three (3) years of technical/trade experience
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• California Service Agent license for CA
• Proficient in Microsoft 365
• Knowledge of metering and AMR technologies
• Startup and project management skills
• Independent problem solving and analysis skills
• Must take all required safety courses as identified by Yardi
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with a flexible schedule
• Ability to travel overnight up to 100% for assigned territory
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
• Ability to work in high-noise environments
• Regular attendance and a regular work schedule are essential functions

Responsibilities

• Installs, repairs, diagnoses, and maintains gas, electric, and water sub-metering equipment ensuring quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations during installations and maintenance operations.
• Review installation and maintenance reports and documentation relevant to the project.
• Adhere to installation schedules set by project leader, client, and resources.
• Ensure all sub-metering devices operate properly prior to leaving site.
• Conduct property surveys for new sales opportunities and where installation was performed by others.
• Prepare survey documentation, recommendations, and scope of work.
• Assist in obtaining subcontractor quotes and permit information.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and submission of inventory movements.
• Maintain project files with all documentation.
• Comply with company policies and standardized processes.
• Train peers and subcontractors as directed by management.
• Participate in training activities and company meetings.
