Job summary

La Colombe Coffee Roasters seeks a Coffee Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain brewing equipment across the NYC Metro area. You will be the face of the brand while visiting client sites and coordinating with the home office on service tickets and parts.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of field service experience on large appliances, strong mechanical aptitude, and solid communication skills. On-site role with travel across the NYC market.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience installing, servicing and maintaining large industrial appliances.
• Follow service call and installation procedures; adapt to emergencies and changing conditions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to manage time effectively, meet deadlines and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary, face-to-face representative of La Colombe with clients.
• Liaise between the corporate office, client services, and clients for seamless support.
• Maintain records in SalesLogix and MAS related to machine support.
• Execute work orders, manage machine agreements, and address service tickets promptly.
• Conduct bench testing of new equipment before installation.
• Refurbish used coffee equipment to extend its lifespan and prep for reinstallation.
• Oversee removal and replacement of equipment as needed.
• Coordinate parts ordering and logistics with the home office.
• Maintain a well-stocked van with inventory for installations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate is a mechanically inclined, safety-conscious individual with a basic understanding of equipment repair principles and the ability to effectively maintain, repair, and re-program various coffee equipment.

Requirements

• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in installing, servicing, and maintaining large industrial appliances; experience with coffee machines is a plus
• Technical Skills: Ability to follow service call and installation procedures provided by management, with the flexibility to adapt to emergency situations and changing circumstances
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
