Job summary

Northeastern Coffee Equipment in Boston, MA seeks an experienced Coffee & Espresso Field Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate premium commercial espresso machines and related equipment throughout New England.

You will combine mechanical aptitude, electrical troubleshooting, and customer service to deliver reliable equipment performance and exceptional support for cafés, restaurants, hotels, offices, and roasters.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial coffee or espresso equipment service experience.
• Experience servicing brands such as La Marzocco, Nuova Simonelli, Victoria Arduino, Franke, Eversys, Fetco, Bunn, Mahlkönig, Mazzer.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission commercial espresso and coffee brewing equipment.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, hydraulic, plumbing, and mechanical issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled service visits.
• Repair commercial espresso machines, coffee brewers, grinders, and beverage systems.
• Configure machine programming and calibration to manufacturer specifications.
• Document service work accurately using digital service software.
• Maintain inventory of replacement parts and company tools.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and preventative maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal technical support and operations teams.

• Participate in ongoing manufacturer certification and technical training

• 3+ years of commercial coffee or espresso equipment service experience
• Experience servicing brands such as:

• Curtis
• Fetco
• Bunn
• Mahlkönig
• Mazzer
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Electrical troubleshooting experience (120V/208V/240V equipment)
• Knowledge of plumbing, pumps, boilers, solenoids, pressure systems, and water filtration
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical schematics
• Experience using multimeters and diagnostic tools
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Professional communication and customer service abilities
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 75 lbs. and work in commercial environments

Manufacturer certifications are highly valued but not required.

Compensation

Competitive Salary:

$70,000 – $95,000 annually

Salary is based on experience, certifications, technical expertise, and industry background.
