Job summary

La Colombe Coffee Roasters is seeking a skilled Coffee Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain our brewing equipment in the New York City Metro area. You will be the face of the company with clients, and you will ensure fast, reliable service while following safety and installation procedures.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with large industrial appliances; coffee machines a plus.
• Ability to follow service call and installation procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to manage time effectively and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary, face-to-face representative of La Colombe while engaging with clients
• Act as the liaison between the corporate office, client services, and clients, ensuring seamless communication and support
• Maintain accurate records in SalesLogix and MAS systems related to machine support
• Execute work orders, manage machine agreements, and address service tickets promptly
• Conduct bench testing of new equipment upon delivery, ensuring readiness before installation
• Refurbish used coffee equipment to extend its lifespan and prepare it for reinstallation
• Oversee the removal and replacement of equipment as needed
• Coordinate parts ordering and logistics with the home office to ensure timely and efficient operations
• Maintain a well-stocked van with inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment for installations
• Perform additional duties as assigned
