Job summary

Yardi Systems is seeking a Field Technician to lead installations and maintenance of IoT devices across the United States. The role involves up to 75% travel and site surveys, documenting BID/MWO/PISN work, and ensuring OSHA compliance throughout all projects.

You will review installation plans, maintain detailed project files, and may train team members and subcontractors to elevate field capabilities. A hands-on, safety-conscious approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 3 years of technical or trades experience.
• Experience installing and maintaining hardware including locks, switches, and thermostats.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience completing Building Installation Details (BID), Maintenance Work Orders (MWO), Placed in Service Notices (PISN), Time Record Sheets (TRS).
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
• OSHA compliance/documentation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, diagnose and maintain IoT smart devices for assigned projects.
• Review reports and documentation relevant to the project (scope of work, site plans, device health, work orders).
• Adhere to installation schedules set by the project leader and client.
• Ensure all IoT devices operate properly before leaving the site.
• Train peers/subcontractors as directed by supervision.

Inthis role, you will manage and execute the maintenance and installation of IoTsmart devices, including locks, thermostats, light switches, and sensors atvarious locations nationwide. This position requires up to 75% travel acrossthe US.

As a Field Technician, you will conduct site surveys,document potential new projects, and review subcontractor quotes, ensuring allprojects are completed accurately and on time. Your commitment to maintainingOSHA compliance and proper documentation will be essential in deliveringtop-notch service. Additionally, you may be called upon to train other teammembers and subcontractors, sharing your expertise to enhance our team’scapabilities.

What You’ll Do:

• Install, repair, diagnose and provide maintenance of IoTsmart devices for assigned projects.
• Review installation and maintenance reports anddocumentation relevant to the project: scope of work, site plans, IoT devicehealth, work orders, etc.
• Adhere to installation schedules pre-determined and set bythe project leader, the client, and available resources (product andlabor).
• Ensure all IoT smart devices are operating properly prior toleaving the job site.
• Establish and ensure compliance with quality control andquality assurance standards for installation, maintenance, and connectivity forIoT system.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations duringinstallations/maintenance operations (i.e. ensure use of hard-hats/steel toedboots at all times while on new construction job sites,etc.).
• Maintain job files on each project with all the appropriatedocumentation.
• Submit daily maintenance and installation reports;documentation to include, but not limited to (Building InstallationDetails (BID), Completed MWO, Inventory Logs, Placed in Service Notices (PISN),Time Record Sheet (TRS), etc.) reporting status of each maintenance andinstallation performed (exceptions to this must be approved and completed within48 hours of the work completed.
• Perform property surveys for new sales opportunities and/orwhere installation was performed by a company other than Yardi; surveydocumentation is completed and submitted to the Service AdministrativeAssistant.
• Prepare and submit recommendations and scope of work asapplicable for site surveys performed.
• Assist in obtaining subcontractor quotes and permit feesinformation, as applicable.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and submit documentationfor inventory movements/activity.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, andstandardized processes.
• Train peers as necessary, or as directed by TeamCoordinator/Field Supervisor/Management.
• Participate in scheduled training activities and companymeetings as directed.
• Coordinate training of subcontractors.
• Ensure all subcontractors wear appropriate clothing andYardi identification badges.
• Perform all other tasks as assigned for the successfuloperation of the region.

Who You Are:

• High school diploma or G.E.D
• Three years of technical or trades experience
• Three years of experience installing and maintaininghardware including locks, switches, and thermostats
• Experience with electrical and HVAC
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Experience completing Building Installation Details (BID),Maintenance Work Orders (MWO), Placed in Service Notices (PISN), Time RecordSheets (TRS), and Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) documentation
• California Service Agent license for California-basedtechnicians
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and
• SharePoint
• Basic project coordination knowledge
• Analytical problem-solving skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Extensive travel required (approximately 75%+)

• Ability to analyze building heating and cooling systems

Annual Salary Range: $27.69 - $31.50
