Protect Environmental in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Field Technician to join our Radon Mitigation team. You will install, repair, and maintain radon systems, educate customers on operation, troubleshoot field issues, and ensure all work aligns with company standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or building maintenance is a plus
• Capable of crawling spaces, attics, and roofs
• Must be able to regularly lift 60 pounds
• Ability to obtain NRPP certification within required timeline

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and post-installation testing
• Educate customers on system operation and maintenance
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and warehouse space
• Occasionally perform light digging or excavation at job sites

• Respond promptly to service needs and concerns

We’re seeking a Field Technician to join our Radon Mitigation team. In this role, you’ll install, repair, and maintain radon mitigation systems, support customers by teaching them how to use their equipment, troubleshoot issues in the field, and ensure all work aligns with company standards and procedures.

We Think You're a Great Fit If You:

• Are mechanically inclined and enjoy hands‑on work
• Have 1 or more years of experience in Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or building maintenance is preferred.
• Take pride in quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
• Can work independently and follow established procedures
• Are dependable, organized, and punctual
• Are comfortable working in crawl spaces, attics, and on ladders
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

What You Will Be Doing:

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ year of experience in construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or building maintenance is a plus
• This job operates primarily in a field environment and routinely requires walking, climbing ladders and lifting of equipment.
• The job requires good physical health and ability to perform hands on construction work.
• Capable of occasionally working in crawl spaces, in attics and on roofs
• Must be able to regularly lift 60 pounds
• Ability to stand on your feet up to 8 hours a day
• Ability to obtain NRPP certification for radon mitigation within required timeline

$24 - $24 an hour
