Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Technical Service Specialist to provide hands-on and remote technical support for equipment used in swine and poultry facilities. You will troubleshoot, install, maintain, and operate systems in collaboration with dealers and technicians.

The role combines field service, customer training, and cross-functional teamwork. A technical degree and travel willingness are required to succeed in a dynamic agricultural tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, engineering, agricultural, or related discipline.
• Experience in poultry, swine, livestock, or agricultural equipment environments preferred.
• Working knowledge of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics.
• Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and technicians with varying experience.
• Experience training, mentoring, or providing technical instruction to others is valued.
• Strong problem-solving, facilitation, conflict-resolution, and customer-service skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25–50%.
• Ability to operate a company vehicle in accordance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on and remote technical support for equipment in swine and poultry facilities.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and equipment-related issues remotely via phone, email, and other platforms.
• Travel to customer and dealer locations for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operation.
• Read and interpret electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, schematics, and drawings when diagnosing issues.
• Document technical cases and service activity in CRM/case management system.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Warranty teams to resolve field issues.
• Develop working knowledge across the company's equipment portfolio.
• Conduct classroom and hands-on technical training for internal staff, distributors, and service technicians.
• Develop training materials on installation, troubleshooting, servicing, and operation.
• Strengthen the technical capabilities of the dealer and service network.
