Job summary

Hog Slat, Inc., seeks a Service Technician in Clinton, NC to troubleshoot and repair parts and equipment in modern swine and poultry facilities. The role requires excellent customer service and hands-on electrical, plumbing and mechanical skills.

The successful candidate will diagnose repair needs, recommend Hog Slat parts and equipment, and ensure accurate billing while supporting warranty claims and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to use tools for electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• Familiarity with swine/poultry industries and local producers.
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern hog/poultry facilities.
• At least 2 years of experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Experience with systems in modern swine facilities (ventilation, feeding, heating) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with Hog Slat customers to understand their repair needs.
• Give customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available at Hog Slat with which their needs can be addressed.
• Repair/replace faulty parts & equipment in area swine and poultry facilities.
• Properly bill customers for service work hours.
• Work with the Hog Slat in-store team to manage warranty claims.
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered by Hog Slat, Inc. and by its vendors.
