Job summary

Augusta Communications, Inc. is seeking a field service technician to install mobile and fixed station radio equipment across various vehicles in a safe, standards-driven environment.

You will troubleshoot, document work, and maintain system records while following Motorola R56 standards and company procedures. Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM, with opportunities to obtain ETA/FCC certifications.

Qualifications

• This position requires understanding two-way radio equipment and systems or background in electronic installations.
• Certifications from ETA and/or FCC may be pursued (not required to hold prior).
• Organized and flexible.
• Eager to learn and listen.
• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Monday-Friday from 8AM–5PM.

Responsibilities

• Install mobile radio equipment and accessories in various vehicles following industry standards.
• Install fixed station equipment per drawings/plans per Motorola R56 standards under supervision.
• Complete and submit written and visual documentation of work.
• Process daily repair orders by troubleshooting and repairing electronics.
• Maintain system records for company and customer systems.
• All other tasks as assigned by management.
• Understand electronics as applied to vehicle voltage, grounding, and mobile antenna systems.
