Job summary

Eastern Communications seeks a Radio Frequency Technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot RF systems used by public safety, utilities, and transportation sectors. This role supports multiple service centers locally, with occasional regional travel for installations and training.

The ideal candidate has electronics/telecommunications training, strong diagnostic skills, and solid communication abilities to explain complex issues to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Associate0s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for systems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for operations and training.
• Valid driver license with a clean driving record.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and repair Radio Frequency equipment and systems.
• Diagnose signal, interference, and hardware issues.
• Perform testing, firmware updates, and system calibration.
• Support emergency vehicle upfits and 12VDC installs.
• Maintain documentation and service records.
• Travel as needed for field work and training.
• Provide prompt, professional customer support.
• Collaborate with team members and project staff.
