Job summary

AkzoNobel is seeking a Technical Service Representative to manage coating projects, perform inspections, and advise customers on product selections in the Gulf region. The role requires strong knowledge of coatings, safety compliance, and frequent travel to client sites.

You will generate technical reports, coordinate with applicators, and ensure alignment with SSPC/NACE/ISO standards while supporting sales goals and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3 years' sales experience in a technical environment.
• 1 year experience using coating applications and practices.
• Knowledge of industry standards (SSPC, NACE, ISO) with ability to use inspection equipment.
• Ability to travel up to 20% (overnight travel may be required).

Responsibilities

• Generate and maintain accurate records and reports of products and environmental conditions.
• Attend inspections and verify specification adherence through quality checks.
• Advise customers on products and schemes based on vessel service environments and performance expectations.
• Identify conditions outside specifications and prepare exception reports.
• Monitor customers in proper application of coatings and paint systems per company specs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
