Full Time Technical SOVA 6, VA, US
12 days ago Requisition ID: 2665
Salary Range: $28.00 To $34.00 Hourly
Sitemetric seeks an experienced Field Tech III to take ownership of advanced customer deployments and lead a team of skilled field technicians supporting our growing network of construction technology installations. This role goes beyond individual project execution — you will train and mentor new hires, oversee a pod of Field Techs, and ensure that Sitemetric standards for excellence, safety, and reliability are met across multiple sites.
We’re looking for a hands‑on technical leader who thrives in dynamic environments, excels at solving complex field challenges, and takes pride in developing others while delivering high‑quality outcomes for our clients. If you are motivated by technology, team leadership, and shaping how construction tech is deployed nationwide, this role is for you.
Field‑based roles, including Field Tech III positions, operate on a shift‑based schedule. Shift times may fluctuate or change based on customer needs, job site requirements, and project schedules. Flexibility in work hours is required.
At Sitemetric, we turn technology into services that transform how the world is built.
This enables our customers to lead the change in critical areas of construction operations: workforce, safety, security, reporting, communications, logistics, and more.
We work closely with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and construction workers to customize offerings to their needs, including digital onboarding, smart badging, real‑time location systems, messaging and mass texting, integrated turnstiles, real‑time reporting, emergency mustering, and more.
We currently serve as trusted partner to a growing number of the US’s largest, most forward‑looking owners and contractors, working with them to ensure what we offer meets their evolving needs, with thousands of companies and workers already on the Sitemetric platform. Together, we are leading the change in how the world is built.
As Field Tech III you will be a critical member of our on‑the‑ground team, ensuring smooth operations and optimal technology performance on customer construction sites.
Working closely with leadership, you will be responsible for deploying and configuring IoT sensor systems; ensuring all devices are properly installed and connected; management of wireless network infrastructure across job sites, documentation and other support related to system performance, technical optimization, and other responsibilities as needed. This role ensures that critical data relating to site operations is appropriately captured and transmitted so that customers have accurate, real‑time insights to make important decisions.
The Field Tech III plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence across customer construction sites. Beyond performing installations and technology deployments, this position includes field leadership — managing a small team (or “pod”) of Field Techs, providing real‑time technical oversight, and ensuring adherence to company standards and project specifications.
The Field Tech III will also serve as an on‑site mentor and trainer for new and junior technicians, instilling Sitemetric’s values of quality, safety, and reliability while maintaining high performance and accountability across the team.
