Job summary

Pace Analytical Services LLC in Tuscaloosa, AL, is seeking a Field Technician I to support environmental sampling across air, soil, water, and related media. You will collect, process, and test samples at customer sites, ensuring accurate results and timely documentation.

The role involves field services, vehicle prep, safety equipment checks, and maintaining logs. Travel with some overnight stays is required, and a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or in progress.
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental setting preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer and environmental testing sites.
• Collect, process and test environmental samples (air, soil, water, media).
• Perform field services with standard practices and document results accurately.
• Pick up, transport, and deliver samples, documents, materials and results.
• Prepare vehicles for daily field operations and maintain safety equipment and logs.
• Assist with research to resolve operational or customer issues and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support field/environmental program reviews and implementation as needed.
